Do I have a plus one?

Please note that your invitation will make it clear if we are able to accommodate a plus one for you. Unless your invitation specifically includes a guest, we are unable to accommodate plus ones.

Are kids allowed?

Unfortunately, no. Due to venue restrictions and to ensure that everyone can fully enjoy and celebrate at the wedding and reception, we kindly ask that our wedding remain an adults-only event.

What is considered black tie?

For those who would like to wear a tuxedo or suit:

The classic choice for you will be a black tuxedo, a crisp white dress shirt, and a black bow tie. While a tuxedo is the gold standard for black tie, a black or deep-toned formal suit with a bow tie can be an acceptable alternative if styled properly.

Shoes should be black patent leather dress shoes or highly polished oxfords, and accessories should remain refined.

For those who would like to wear a dress:

We highly recommend a floor-length evening gown in a luxurious fabric like satin, silk, chiffon, or velvet. Dark, rich tones and metallics are common choices, though bold colors can also work if styled appropriately.

For the final touches, we recommend elegant shoes, tasteful statement jewelry, and a classic clutch for essentials.

The goal of black tie is to exude timeless elegance and sophistication—think red carpet, not office party.

Overall, we hope that you will choose a look that feels comfortable and authentic to you! By adhering to these guidelines, guests will contribute to the sophisticated, festive atmosphere of the event.

How do you recommend getting around New York City?

We highly suggest either walking (depending on how far you are trying to go) or using the NYC Subway system - it is convenient, quick, and cost effective!

Yellow Taxis are also reliable and will help to avoid any surge pricing during busier times with more driver demand. Uber and Lyft are also highly convenient options!

Is the subway safe?

Yes! We both use the subway almost every day.

Despite what you may have heard, the public transportation in New York City is safe and best of all extremely convenient. While you are traveling in the subway system, be sure to travel together, be aware of your surroundings, and don’t take the train too late at night.

If I want to drive into the city where should I park?

For parking near the reception or other options near hotels, we suggest reserving parking with Spot Hero

  • Conrad Hotel: Offers Valet Parking ($80.00 per day)

  • Hilton Garden Inn/Tribeca: Offers Self Parking ($75.00 per day)

  • Nomo Soho: Offers discount with nearby garage (6 Wooster Street); they suggest dropping luggage with bellman and then parking ($45.00 per day)

**please note that oversized vehicles will be charged extra

What Subway lines should I use around my hotel?

this subway line is furthest east and runs from Central Park down to Broadway and follows that into FiDi, followed by Brooklyn

this subway line runs along Broadway on the Upper West Side, crosses to 7th Avenue below Central Park, and continues to FiDi & into Brooklyn

this subway line runs along 8th Avenue on the Upper West Side and crosses to 6th Ave at West 4th Street ; there is one stop on the east side of FiDi before these lines continue into Brooklyn

New York City is a grid and the train lines follow it! North is uptown, and south is downtown.

For example:

  • If you are at 34th Street and are looking to go to Canal, you are going DOWNTOWN.

  • If you are at Canal and you are looking to go to 34th Street, you are going UPTOWN.

Please note:

Welcome Drinks at The Belfry is North (UPTOWN) from all hotels

Trinity Church is South (DOWNTOWN) from all hotels

There are only two train lines that operate East to West in Manhattan:

  • The S train between Grand Central and Times Square.

  • The L train at 14th Street & 8th Avenue, which runs across 14th Street into Brooklyn.
